I'm an aspiring author from Melbourne, Australia, debuting my very first romantic fantasy novel, Ice Heart.
Growing up, I have to say I've always found solace in writing, and often found myself in trouble at school for writing stories instead of completing schoolwork. An art therapist by day, and a writer by night, I enjoy creativity in all its forms and can often be found creating art, reading a good book, and listening to Taylor Swift's entire discography in one sitting.
Ice Heart A CONVERSATION WITH THE AUTHOR
HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE TITLE?
Ice Heart was a title that came from the novel's very early beginnings when I was around 13 years old. It was at a time when the story of William and Siara was a rough 6 pages long, and I was only just getting to know the characters I was creating. Since then, the novel has taken on many changes and grown to something a little more substantial than 6 pages, but it's original title, Ice Heart, has stayed the same, a homage to the original idea from years ago.

WHEN DID YOU FIRST REALISE YOU WANTED TO WRITE?
I've always been a write from as far back as I can remember. I can still remember a few stern words from my grade six teacher for writing a story during class instead of doing my work. The first time I realised I wanted to write for other people was when I wrote a story in early high school, and ended up having a few friends reading it. They were so interested and invested in the characters and the story that something inside clicked into place. it made me happy to know that something I created gave joy or at least entertainment to others as well.
